From a vague "AI for routing" idea to a scoped demand-forecasting pilot
Challenge
The logistics team wanted to use AI to improve delivery routing, but had not defined whether they meant real-time optimisation, route planning, or demand forecasting. The question was too broad to produce a useful pilot.
Approach
A Pilot Scoping Session was used to separate the three possible questions and evaluate which had the clearest data, the most measurable outcome, and the most direct business value. Demand forecasting was selected as the scoped pilot.
Outcome
